After a solid opening at the box office, Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 witnessed a usual drop in collections on Monday. However, the decline did little to affect the film's box-office run. In just five days, the film has surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark and beaten the lifetime earnings of several hits, including Karuppu, Awarapan 2 and others.
According to entertainment-tracking portal Sacnilk, Drishyam 3 has collected Rs 216.50 crore net in India in its first five days. The film was off to a bumper start on Friday, opening with Rs 66 crore in India. While the collections dipped to Rs 53.50 crore on Saturday, the decline was followed by a healthy Sunday track of Rs 61 crore, giving the film a solid weekend ahead of the expected weekday slowdown.
Monday saw an unexpected decline, with the film earning Rs 21 crore, roughly a 65.6% dip compared to its Sunday figure. The downward trend continued on Tuesday, when Drishyam 3 collected Rs 19 crore and stood at 23% occupancy.
Despite the midweek decline, Drishyam 3 has already raked in more than twice what the first Drishyam collected in its lifetime earnings, which closed at Rs 102.75 crore. The bigger talk is that the third instalment is now just Rs 30 crore short of Drishyam 2, which earned Rs 239.67 crore net in India. If it managed to maintain a solid run through the week, Drishyam 3 could soon surpass its predecessor and claim the title of the franchise's highest-grossing film.
According to Indian Express, Drishyam 3 is also now on the list of the top five highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026 at the Indian box office. The Ajay Devgn, Tabu starrer currently stands at number 5, behind Dhurandhar 2 (Rs 1,186.32 crore), Border 2 (Rs 362.76 crore), Hanuman Ansh (Rs 325.48 crore), Mirzapur The Movie (Rs 233.12 crore) and Bhooth Bangla ( Rs 199.23 crore).
Written and helmed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3 follows the story from 2022's Drishyam 2. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar for the third and final instalment of the Hindi Drishyam franchise. Besides Devgn, the film also stars Tabu as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran as Nandini Salgaonkar. The cast also includes Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Kamlesh Sawant, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat.
