As the excitement around Shraddha Kapoor's Eetha continues to grow, the film has now sparked fresh buzz after a behind-the-scenes video from the film's sets recently surfaced online. The now-viral clip shows the actress filming a dance sequence dressed in a red saree. The clip has been going viral on social media, with fans gushing over her look and dance moves.
The video gives a brief glimpse of the dance sequence. Shraddha is seen dressed in a traditional avatar, wearing a red saree and performing choreography of what appears to be a song sequence. As soon as the clip circulated on social media, fans began flooding the comments with requests for the makers to release the song.
A user was particularly impressed by Shraddha's transformation and wrote, "Just a small BTS clip and #Eetha is trending. This woman has worked crazy hard. You won't see Shraddha in Eetha, you'll see Eetha. The transformation is insane. I genuinely couldn't recognise her. December can't come soon enough."
Notably, the viral BTS video comes after Eetha started generating interest online with its title, posters and teaser. The film's teaser was earlier attached to Cocktail 2 before being released digitally.
Helmed by Laxman Utekar, Eetha is his next directorial venture after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, which emerged as a major box-office success. Shraddha Kapoor plays Vithabai Narayangaonkar, a renowned Marathi Tamasha and Lavani performer who went on to become one of Maharashtra's most celebrated folk theatre artists despite coming from a humble background. While shooting the film, Shraddha Kapoor had earlier suffered an injury on set, which led to the filming being halted and postponed by several weeks.
Interestingly, Eetha was initially scheduled to release in theatres on August 28, 2026. However, the date was later postponed to December 4. The change in date allowed the film to avoid a direct box-office clash with Yash's Toxic, which released in cinemas on August 26.
The new release date, however, places the film in competition with Prabhas' Fauzi, which is also set to release sometime in December, 2026.
