Hanuman Ansh, a film inspired by the life and legacy of Shri Neem Karori Baba, has been performing well at the box office despite facing competition from multi-starrer movies like Awarapan 2 and Toxic. Now, the film has sparked a different kind of buzz online after a video showing a Muslim man watching it barefoot went viral.

A video from a theatre has gone viral on social media, showing a Muslim man watching Hanuman Ansh without wearing footwear. The clip has caught the attention of netizens, with many praising the gesture and viewing it as a reflection of mutual respect and communal harmony. Reacting to the viral video, one netizen wrote, "Woh bhi chappal utaar ke (sic)." Another X user commented, "India without politics (sic)." A third user shared the clip and described, "Today, the theater showed some indigestible truth. An elderly Rahim uncle, having removed his shoes, was watching the Hanuman Ansh film in the cinema hall with great devotion. This scene is truly unparalleled (sic)."

After the film's success, director Vishal Chaturvedi has weighed in on the early assessment of the film, where it was allegedly declared a flop. While speaking to ANI, Vishal Chaturvedi expressed, "As long as the film is in a theatre and its run is not complete, then declaring that film a hit or flop is a haste. I used to feel that the film will be a hit and it will complete its run in two and a half months. In the second week, the collections were more than the number of theatres we had. We had 25 theatres, but we were getting almost the same collection that we were getting from 250 theatres in the first week."

Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film stars Shobhina W Satyaa, Vihaan S Hegde, Chandan Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil K Rastogi and Gulshan Pandey. The spiritual drama, which released on August 7, has gone on to cross the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office and has emerged as one of the most profitable films of the year. The numbers have drawn comparisons with Ranveer Singh's blockbuster Dhurandhar 2, which released earlier this year.

Notably, the movie concludes with a slate suggesting that the story of Neem Karoli Baba is yet to be completed, clearly hinting at a sequel. When the film was announced in February, it was revealed as part of a planned trilogy.
