The battle over Queen Forever has reached the Bombay High Court, which on Wednesday refused to halt the film's production and release. Phantom Studios, co-producer of Kangana Ranaut's 2014 hit Queen, claimed it jointly owns the rights to any sequel and had not consented to the project. However, the court declined to grant interim relief, dealing a setback to the studio's attempt to stop the reported sequel. The dispute centres on who gets to decide the original film's future. On the work font, Kangana was last seen in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.
The makers of Om: Chapter 1: Udhiram - The Blood Wood have announced November 20 as the film's new theatrical release date. Dhanush had earlier taken to social media to announce the postponement, with the film's original date reportedly changed to avoid a box-office clash with Rajinikanth's Jailer 2. Producer Shraddha Agrawal said, "We want audiences to experience the scale, emotion and grandeur of this collaboration between Mammootty and Dhanush in theatres, and I believe this coming together will be truly memorable."
