(L-R) Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in a still from ‘Hera Pheri’
The fate of âHera Pheri 3' continues to hang in the balance, with filmmaker Priyadarshan confirming that the much-anticipated sequel remains stalled due to ongoing legal issues. In an interaction with a news channel, he said, "It is still. There are some legal issues. We are trying to sort it out. Once that is sorted, then we'll go ahead with that film." His remarks offer a cautious yet hopeful update after years of uncertainty surrounding the third instalment of the cult comedy franchise, which began with âHera Pheri' (2000) and continued with âPhir Hera Pheri' (2006).
. The film will not go on floors in 2026 due to unresolved legal disputes.
. Production has been delayed over film and music rights issues, halting progress.
. Earlier reports had suggested a December 2025 start and mid-2026 wrap, but these plans are now reportedly on hold.
