Could âKing' bring not one, but two nostalgic reunions? We have learnt that Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan may reunite on screen in Siddharth Anand's Shah Rukh Khan-led action thriller, almost two decades after âLaaga Chunari Mein Daag' (2007). Interestingly, mid-day also learnt that the actors could be paired opposite each other this time around. Rani is already set to reunite with SRK after 20 years, following âKabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' (2006). With Abhishek reportedly playing the antagonist, could âKing' offer a fresh twist to their familiar pairing? With Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff also part of the ensemble, the film certainly has intrigue in abundance.

Preity Zinta in âVibe'
Kunal Kemmu's fanboy idea turned into a casting coup for Vibe. While writing the action comedy, he imagined Preity Zinta as an undercover agent who reveals her life in America was merely a cover. "I'm also a big Preity Zinta fan. So, when that woman comes in, she's Preity Zinta," he recalled. Convinced it would be "the best casting", he approached her. Preity agreed to the role of Marimatch, calling it an exciting departure from her previous roles. The film is set to arrive in cinemas on September 18.

After nearly five years in limbo, Kartik Aaryan's Captain India has finally taken off. The film, which changed directors along the way, is now being shot in London under Shimit Amin, with filming beginning on September 1. Sharing a note Shimit wrote for the team, Kartik said, "Ready to fly with the Maverick." Amin called the team's energy "magical", thanking them for staying through the project's difficult phases. Sharing a clip of himself performing to Bole Chudiyan from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Orry wrote, "Dear Rohitji, I have been promised an item number." Orry's stint on the reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi, has seen him embrace challenging stunts with his trademark humour, while his candid moments and entertaining personality have made him a talking point on the show.
