Hrithik Roshan
While Ranveer Singh basks in the massive success of Dhurandhar, troubles seem to lie ahead. The actor reportedly exited Don 3, which led to a feud with Excel Entertainment. The makers are seeking Rs 40 crore in damages from the actor, as they allegedly spent a massive amount on pre-production. In one of the reports, Ranveer claimed he exited the project after he found out that the makers attempted to replace him with Hrithik Roshan. The Krrish actor has now reacted to the claims.
As per a report in Variety India, the actor said, "What started off as just a rumour has now taken a life of its own, and it's important to set the record straight. I would like to categorically clarify that I was never approached for Don 3 at any given time. I request the media to steer clear of any such unverified reports."
Talking about the issue, a report in Variety India stated that the disagreement has turned into a Rs 40 crore deadlock, with the studio allegedly seeking compensation for losses incurred during pre-production. As per reports, Ranveer claims he left the project because he wasn't happy with the script. However, the makers denied this statement and said the script was discussed with him at every stage. Ranveer later pointed out that Farhan wanted to get Hrithik on board; however, Dhurandhar's success changed his mind.
According to a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source told the portal, "Ranveer blamed Excel Entertainment for unprofessionalism and not being serious about taking Don 3 on floors. He stated that Farhan Akhtar never had a bound script in place and that, as an actor, he prefers to work only with fully developed material. He further alleged that Excel was exploring the possibility of getting Hrithik Roshan on board and only re-approached him after the success of Dhurandhar to capitalise on his momentum."
Talking about his work, Ranveer is currently busy with Dhurandhar 2, which is set for a March 19 release. Apart from this, he is acting in and co-producing Jay Mehta's Pralay, which is touted to be a zombie thriller alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is set to direct Krrish 4. He is also producing the Prime Video series Storm, which stars Saba Azad.
