In bid to end smoking habit he picked up during Guzaarish, Roshan Jr will be using nicotine patches

Hrithik Roshan wants to quit smoking. The actor picked up the habit last year, got addicted to nicotine high during the making of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish, as his character in the film smokes.

In the film, he plays Ethan, a paraplegic patient who wants to end his life. He's bound to the wheel chair and takes to smoking. Even though it was a character trait of his character, Hrithik continued smoking even after the film ended. Roshan Jr has never even smoked on screen before this Bhansali film.

Duggu was a sporadic smoker before shooting the film but now he is a certified smoker and wants to kick the butt. He is fitness conscious and realises that smoking will damage his health in the long run.

Support system
He has now plans to wear nicotine patches to wean himself off the habit. He has been talking about it to his friends and they are all very supportive of his decision. Even his family has been telling him to give up the nasty habit. And now the actor has made up his made that he wants to go back becoming a non-smoker.
