Gujarati Mid Day hosts a cricket tournament every year for the Gujarati and Marwari communities of Mumbai. This year, the theme song has been sung by Himesh Reshammiya, his first-ever song in his mother tongue Gujarati.
This eight-minute one-song album titledu00a0-- Cricketparty: Aavo Fatkabaaji Kariyeu00a0-- has been composed by Jayesh Gandhi (co-singer) and penned by Navin and Jayesh Gandhi, Rajesh Thawani (Editor, Gujarati Mid Day) and Anil Rawal. The album was released on International Mother Language Day (February 21). Guests included Ketaki Dave, Manoj Joshi, Mehul Buch and Subhash Thakar.
