The popular American YouTuber MrBeast is currently in Mumbai and attended an event for the upcoming movie Ramayana. Apart from him, the event saw the Ramayana cast, including actors Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, producer Namit Malhotra, and director Nitesh Tiwari, in attendance. Well, one candid moment from the event is now going viral on social media.
In the clip, Ranbir was seen gently asking the YouTuber to say 'Jai Shri Ram,' to which he followed and greeted everyone present at the event to roaring applause. Ranbir also explained Lord Ram to MrBeast. The actor said, "He was born as a prince and had everything. But he sacrificed all to fulfil his father's promise and for his duties. He is known as a perfect man, and I hope that through this film, you can have a brief introduction to our culture, to our history and where it all began."
Ramayana is undoubtedly one of the most-anticipated films of the year. The movie is set to release in two parts, and Part 1 is scheduled to hit the silver screens on Diwali this year. Meanwhile, Part 2 will release on Diwali 2027. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, and Sai Pallavi as Sita, along with a massive ensemble cast including Ravie Dubey, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, and Kunal Kapoor, among others.
The makers recently released the first song titled Jai Jai Ram a few days ago. Composed by A.R. Rahman, the song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh, and it has generated an impressive response.
Producer Namit Malhotra also shared why the song was specifically launched on the ocassion of Ganesh Chaturthi. He said, "Shri Ram is at the heart of Ramayana and, for generations, has been the guide we turn to through every phase of life. In moments of darkness, we seek his strength. In moments of uncertainty, we look to his path. And in moments of joy, we remember him with gratitude. Jai Jai Ram comes from that deeply personal and timeless relationship we share with Shri Ram. While Ramayana is being created on a great scale, its true foundation lies in its emotion, its values and its devotion. With Jai Jai Ram, we wanted our first song to reflect that soul, to celebrate Shri Ram not only as someone we worship, but as the protector, guide and source of strength we carry within us. Beginning this musical journey on Ganesh Chaturthi felt especially meaningful because, in our culture, every auspicious beginning starts by seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha."
