Actress Jannat Zubair has seemingly taken an indirect jab at several A-list Bollywood celebrities, who voiced their support for the ongoing NEET paper leak protests recently. Jannat posted a cryptic Instagram Story remarking how "everyone suddenly found their conscience on the same day." Notably, this comes a day after actors like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ananya Panday and more shared social media posts backing the protesting students on social media.
Although Jannat did not name anyone in her Instagram story, she noted how the reactions had all come on the same day despite the protests going on for long. "It's funny how everyone suddenly found their conscience on the same day," she wrote. She indirectly hinted at the wave of celebrity posts that emerged on social media almost simultaneously.
The actress further emphasised how the protests have been ongoing for over a month, indicating that students had been fighting their battle long before celebrities decided to speak up. "The protests have been going on for over a month. Students and protesters didn't start suffering yesterday," she wrote, before adding, "Interesting how empathy arrived all at once."
In her following Instagram Story, Jannat focused on the flood crisis in Assam, urging fans to keep the people in the state in their prayers. The actress shared a report by The Tatva and highlighted the devastating impact of the floods, claiming that around 50 lives were lost and leaving over 2,000 villages submerged. The floods also affected nearly 9 lakh people. Jannat wrote, "Pray for Assam."
Notably, several celebrities posted on social media extending support and solidarity for students protesting over the NEET paper leak across the country. However, the celebs were slammed by netizens who criticised them for their late reactions. Fans left comments like, "looks like the whole bollywood got their post approved on the same day" and "Wow suddenly after PMs tweet whole Bollywood is active."
Others also left comments like, "You all got the courage or permission suddenly?" Notably, the protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party have been going on since June 6, 2026, at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
