Aashayein narrates the story of a compulsive gambler, Rahul Singh, played by John, who discovers new meanings of fortune and life through a dramatic turn of events.

The movie releases Aug 27.

"The film's story is very positive and John and Nagesh were very confident about it. Even when it got delayed, they never lost hope. Everyone was pleasantly surprised to know about their sweet and considerate gesture of both of them," added the source.
