As excitement continues to build around Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part 1, fans of Ranbir Kapoor have another major update to look forward to. According to a report by Variety India, the makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War are preparing to unveil the film's first official look in the coming months. The reveal is expected to kick off the promotional campaign for the much-awaited romantic drama, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead.
The first official asset from Love and War is expected to be unveiled before the release of Ramayana: Part 1 during Diwali this year. While the makers are yet to lock the exact date, the report states that the first look will be released in the coming weeks as anticipation builds for the film's theatrical release on January 21, 2027.
The update comes shortly after Ranbir Kapoor spoke about both Ramayana and Love and War during his interaction with fans at San Diego Comic-Con. The actor confirmed that he is currently busy working on both ambitious projects, each among the most anticipated Hindi films in the pipeline.
Despite several alleged on-set photos circulating online over the past few months, the makers have remained tight-lipped about the film's visuals. Fans have also been advised against relying on leaked images, with the official character reveals now expected to begin soon.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love and War is described as an intense romantic drama set against the backdrop of military conflict. Apart from confirming Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal as the lead trio, the makers have kept the rest of the cast under wraps.
The film marks Bhansali's reunion with Ranbir Kapoor after Saawariya and brings Alia Bhatt back to the filmmaker following the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi. It also marks Vicky Kaushal's first collaboration with the celebrated director, making the project one of the biggest Bollywood releases lined up for 2027.
Meanwhile, Ranbir is gearing up for the release of Ramayana: Part 1, where he plays Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash. With Ramayana set to arrive this Diwali and Love and War following early next year, the actor is preparing for one of the busiest and most high-profile phases of his career.
