With a good number of actors are turning producers, it is only a matter of time before some of their wives followed in their footsteps.
After Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao, it seems Maanayata Dutt is the next star-wife producer in the industry. Needless to say, hubby Sanjay Dutt will play the lead in her debut venture.
A well-placed industry source states that Maanayata will be launching her maiden production sometime later this year.
Two-hero projectAccording to him, "Revathy Verma will be directing the two-hero movie, which will be a perfect balance of her sensibilities and commercial viability. Apart from Sanju, who will obviously feature as one of the leads, Akshaye Khanna has been confirmed."
However, Dharam Oberoi, CEO, Sanjay Dutt Productions, denies the news saying, "Maanayata bhabhi is not making any movie, nor have we spoken to Revathy. So the question of confirming Sanjuji or Akshaye Khanna doesn't arise either."
Nonetheless, our source, standing by the story, maintains that the film is very much on. "Currently, Revathy is busy with her Malayalam film with Prithviraj and Shriya Saran. Only after that is complete, will things on her movie with the Dutts be finalised," states the source.
