On her YouTube channel, Farah Khan asked Dr Shriram Nene about not knowing the extent of Madhuri Dixit's stardom when they were getting married. He reasoned, "Because I grew up on Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Star Wars. I didn't watch Hindi films. Then we met and dated for three months. We just hit it off and got along, and after three months, I proposed to her."

Farah then recalled the grand reception Madhuri and Dr Nene hosted for the film industry. He mentioned, "I didn't know anyone. It was like Prom King; you just waved at everyone and later looked at the wedding album because you don't know anyone. The only person I knew was Amitabh Bachchan because I had seen Amar Akbar Anthony." When Farah asked Dr Nene whether he did not even know Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, he confirmed that he did not.

About Madhuri Dixit's marriage

Madhuri married cardiovascular surgeon Dr Shriram Nene on October 17, 1999. Their wedding came as a surprise to many fans, as the actor was at the peak of her career. The couple's relationship began after Madhuri's brother introduced them. Following their wedding, Madhuri moved to the United States and took a break from her acting career to focus on family life. The couple welcomed their first son, Arin, in 2003, followed by their second son, Ryan, in 2005.

Previously, in a chat with Hindustan Times, Madhuri Dixit recalled her time with Dr Shriram in the US and said, "In Denver, it was smooth and nicer because there were fewer Indians there. Where I lived, mostly there were Americans. For a long time, they didn't know who I was; I was Mrs Nene there. I had my kids, Arin and Ryan; I would go to school to drop them."

Work-wise, she was recently seen in Mrs Deshpande and the film Maa Behen, alongside Triptii Dimri and Dharna Durga. The film garnered a rave response for her performance and storyline. She is currently hosting Kon Honar Crorepati.
