Titled Elementary Botanicals, the paintings are inspired by Mahaveer's stint in France and Korea. He tells CS, "I had attended workshops in miniature paintings at Normandy, France and South Korea.

There I did a lot of botanicals miniature paintings, some of which are shown in this exhibition. Some of the paintings merge the botanical designs with traditional Indian styles in an experimental format.

The techniques used for the paintings are Tempera and Gauche. While I have learnt the traditional miniature art form in Bikaner, I am constantly trying to incorporate new ideas into it.

I have also done cricket paintings in contemporary miniature designs, which I am planning to exhibit later this year in Delhi."
