Orry has spoken about his fallout with Sara Ali Khan, revealing what led to an end of their childhood friendship. He added that he could no longer continue his friendship with the actress after she disappeared in his difficult times. He also opened up about his equation with Sara's mother, Amrita Singh.
During a conversation on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi's show Double Date, Orry recalled his bond with Sara in the past. He claimed that he stood by her during one of the most difficult phases of her life; however, she failed to do the same when he needed her.
During the conversation, Orry was questioned about the most famous person he had blocked, unfollowed or muted. He replied with Sara Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, before explaining what went wrong.
Recalling their equation, Orry said, "We were childhood friends. We have been friends through college, and 10 years after college. I was there for her through so much. We were in Goa when Sara was going through a very big case, and I was with her throughout this. I never left her side."
However, he alleged that things changed when he was going through a difficult phase. He said that despite having supported Sara when she needed him, she did not even reach out or check on him during his difficult time. "Ek baar zindagi mein when she had to be there, she disappeared. During such a tough phase, she did not call even once to check in. I was like, âWhen you were going through hell, and everyone was telling me to leave her, I stood by your side. I took care of your mother, your brother, I stood for you all. And when the tables flipped, ek baar you had to be there for me and you could not even give me a phone call,'" he said.
Further speaking about his experience with Amrita Singh, Orry claimed that she had once scolded him and that the incident affected his equation with Sara's family. He added that he eventually unfollowed Amrita. He also says that he realised that he could not continue pretending to be friends with the actress without addressing what had happened.
"If I pretend to be friends with her now, that means whatever her mother did to me, whatever she spoke about me to everyone else, that means she is okay with it. And I never got any apology. I can't stay friends with her," Orry said.
