Actor Priyanka Chopra has been making India proud with global presence. Now, the actress is once again set to represent the country on a global stage. Days after headlining the international film The Bluff, Priyanka was announced as one of the presenters for this year's Oscars ceremony on Friday, marking her second time as a presenter.
Oscar's executive producer and showrunner, Raj Kapoor, and Katy Mullan, an executive producer, announced the group as the third official round of presenters to join the upcoming ceremony, according to a Variety report.
Expressing her joy over this honour, Priyanka took to Instagram and shared the exciting update with her fans and followers."The 2026 Academy Awards," she simply captioned the post.
The update has excited her fans, friends, family, and members of the Indian and Hollywood film fraternity. Stand-up comedian Zakir Khan commented, "Congratulations!! you are our hero,." Priyanka's Krrish co-star, Hrithik Roshan, also reacted to PeeCee's post with a like.
Notably, Priyanka has previously presented an Oscar during the 2016 ceremony. Apart from Priyanka, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has also presented an Oscar during the 2023 ceremony. Interestingly, it is the same year when RRR won Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu.
Additionally, Priyanka has also presented at the prestigious Golden Globe Awards as well as the Primetime Emmy Awards in the past.
In addition to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the newly announced presenters list includes notables like Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway, Paul Mescal, Will Arnett, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Previously Oscars had also announced Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Chase Infiniti, Mikey Madison, Demi Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph and Zoe Saldana as the presenters for this year.
Notably, this year, Mescal and Infiniti are not individually nominated for their respective appearances in Hamnet and One Battle After Another. Both these films have been recognised by the Academy. While Hamnet has received eight nominations, One Battle After Another stands tall with 13 nominations. The 98th Academy Awards are scheduled to be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 15.
