Luv Ranjan is returning to a space he knows well, introducing fresh faces to Hindi cinema. The filmmaker has unveiled the first look of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, a friendship-comedy that brings six newcomers together for their big-screen debut. Directed by debutant Anuj Saini, the film is set to release in cinemas worldwide on October 23, 2026.
The first look introduces Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Vaid, Sargun Kaur Luthra and Tushar Chhibber as the new faces at the centre of the film. The colourful poster brings the six together in a playful ensemble frame, with their vibrant styling and energetic poses hinting at the youthful tone of the upcoming entertainer.
For Ranjan, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar marks another opportunity to create a world around actors audiences are yet to see on the big screen. The filmmaker previously introduced a new generation of actors through Pyaar Ka Punchnama 15 years ago, making the latest project a return to familiar territory. "Introducing newcomers is always a challenge, but it's the one I genuinely look forward to," Ranjan said, reflecting on the process.
The filmmaker explained that the opportunity reminded him of his earlier experience with Pyaar Ka Punchnama. "Fifteen years ago, I got that opportunity with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and when something similar came along with Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, I knew I didn't want to let it pass," he said.
According to Ranjan, working with six first-time actors also brought a different creative experience. "As a writer, creating a world for six new faces and watching them find their own rhythm within it was something I really enjoyed," he added.
While the makers have kept details about the plot under wraps, the first poster establishes the film as a youthful friendship-comedy with a contemporary visual style. With six newcomers sharing the spotlight, the ensemble appears to be central to the film's identity.
Ranjan also believes that finding the right performers can shape the energy of a story. "When the people feel right, the story finds its own energy, and I'm excited for audiences to meet them," he said.
Presented by Luv Films, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar marks Anuj Saini's directorial debut. The film is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg and is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on October 23, 2026.
