John Abraham

John Abraham is a Bollywood (Hindi Film Industry of India) actor and a former model. He currently lives in Mumbai, India.

John Abraham was born in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India on December 17, 1972, the 6 feet and 1 inch hunk is one of the more successful models in India. John's father is a Malayali from Alwaye, Kerala in India. His mother is Phiroza Irani, from the Parsi community. In fact John Abraham also has a Parsi name (Farhan) but his father gave him the name John. He has one younger brother - Alan.

John Abraham attended the Bombay Scottish School and later Jai Hind College. John graduated in BA (Hons) in economics. He was an avid sportsman, captaining the college football team. Bollywood hunk John Abraham has an amazing knowledge about football, which he can discuss up to the local level. He earned his MMS degree from Mumbai Educational Trust.

In the year 1999, Abraham won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and therefore qualified to go to Singapore for Manhunt International. Here John won the second place and this kick started his modeling career.

Unlike usual Bollywood heroes who prefer romantic or action debut movies, which are gain male-oriented he made an entry with a crime-thriller in 2003 called Jism. The film did well, and besides his smoldering good looks and well toned body, his work was noticed widely. After a few duds at the BO, John's first super hit came with the biker movie Dhoom in 2004 where he played an anti-hero - Kabir.

John Abraham is a vegetarian and strongly feels for and supports animal rights. A hunk with a tender heart!

John became the first Indian ever to feature in the '25 Sexiest Men' list compiled by E! News in 2008.
