Producer Shailendra Singh has shared an interesting anecdote about Salman Khan, revealing how the superstar once underwent Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for his scalp while casually enjoying a plate of biryani. Speaking about Salman's discipline and dedication towards maintaining his appearance, Singh said the actor treated the medical procedure with remarkable ease, highlighting the sacrifices that come with being a superstar.
Recalling the incident in Cyrus Broacha's podcast, Shailendra said he was surprised to see Salman comfortably eating biryani even as doctors administered PRP treatment to his scalp. "He was getting injections on his scalp and was eating biryani at the same time," Singh remembered, adding that the actor barely seemed bothered by the discomfort of the procedure.
According to the producer, the experience reflected Salman's ability to stay calm under pressure and his commitment to looking his best despite the physically demanding treatments. "That's the price you pay to be a star," Singh said, explaining that audiences often admire celebrities for their appearance without realizing the amount of effort, discipline and medical care that goes into maintaining it.
He further praised Salman for his resilience, noting that the actor has always been extremely focused on his work and image. Singh suggested that many people underestimate the physical and mental demands of stardom, where actors frequently undergo fitness regimens, cosmetic procedures and medical treatments to meet the expectations of fans and the industry.
PRP therapy, commonly used to promote hair growth and improve hair density, involves drawing a person's blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and injecting the plasma into the scalp. While considered minimally invasive, the treatment requires multiple injections and can be uncomfortable for many patients.
Despite that, Salman reportedly remained completely unfazed. Singh said the actor continued eating his meal throughout the procedure, leaving everyone present amazed by his composure. The producer used the incident to illustrate Salman's professionalism and high pain tolerance.
