Actor Salman Khan was recently seen attending the funeral of his close family friend, where the actor was seen getting visibly emotional, fighting back tears. The superstar made sure to stand by the bereaved family during their difficult time while paying his final respects in Mumbai on Tuesday, June 9. Several videos and pictures from the last rites at the crematorium have surfaced on social media.
In the videos surfacing online, the actor appeared visibly affected by the loss and was seen getting emotional. In one of the videos doing the rounds online, Salman is seen struggling to hold back his tears as he pays tribute to a family friend. The actor was also seen crying at the crematorium.
After paying his respects, Salman Khan also spent some time interacting with those present at the funeral, including the bereaved family. He was seen having a word with the family members, friends, and other mourners gathered to offer their condolences.
Apart from Salman, his brother, Sohail Khan, nephews, Arhaan and Nirvaan, mother Salma and stepmother Helen also arrived to pay their last respects. Salman's sister Alvira Agnihotri was also spotted at the funeral.
According to multiple sources, it was Kumud Rane's funeral. He was a close friend of the Khan family and shared a warm bond with the members. However, the details of the funeral could not be verified. Several fans on social media expressed their condolences and offered prayers for the departed soul and strength to the grieving family.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The war drama, also starring Chitrangada Singh, was earlier believed to be inspired by the Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces. However, the latest reports suggest that the film has undergone several major changes. This includes its title being revised from Battle of Galwan to Maatrubhumi, and the removal of references to China and the Galwan Valley.
Apart from this, Salman also has producer Dil Raju's next project in the pipeline, which will reportedly be directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film also stars Nayanthara, and its shoot reportedly began on April 19.
