The trailer of 7 Dogs, an ambitious international action thriller featuring Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, has been unveiled, giving audiences a glimpse of the film's high-octane world of crime, danger and intense action. The film is set to release in Indian theatres on August 21 in Hindi and English.
The film brings together a diverse international cast, with Egyptian stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz leading the central narrative. Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt feature in the ensemble, adding considerable star power to the project. Their reunion is expected to be a major attraction for Indian audiences, especially given their history of sharing the screen.
Salman and Sanjay have previously appeared together in films including Saajan (1991), Chal Mere Bhai (2000) and Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002). The actors recently reunited for AP Dhillon's song Old Money, and 7 Dogs marks another collaboration, this time in a large-scale international action production.
The trailer introduces viewers to a dangerous criminal underworld centred around a powerful syndicate known as 7 Dogs and a new drug called Pink Lady. The story follows Interpol officer Khalid Al-Azzazi, who arrests Ghali Abu Dawood, a senior member of the criminal organisation. However, the situation changes when the syndicate resurfaces a year later with plans to transport the drug across the Middle East.
Khalid is subsequently forced to work with Ghali, who has deep knowledge of the organisation and its operations. The unlikely partnership sets the stage for a high-stakes battle involving crime, international networks and dangerous missions.
7 Dogs is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the filmmakers behind Hollywood action films Bad Boys for Life and Bad Boys: Ride or Die. The project has been conceived and co-written by Turki Alalshikh, who also serves as its producer.
The film boasts a global ensemble that includes Italian actor Monica Bellucci, Hollywood stars Martin Lawrence and Giancarlo Esposito, along with Tara Emad, Nasser Al-Qasabi and Max Huang. The collaboration brings together talent from India, Egypt, Europe and Hollywood.
Action is a major focus of the film. Its stunt work has been developed with the involvement of 87Eleven, the action and stunt company associated with the John Wick franchise. Veteran stunt designer Stephen Dunlevy, known for his work on Mad Max: Fury Road and John Wick, has led the action design.
Produced by Sela Studios with support from the General Entertainment Authority and Riyadh Season, 7 Dogs promises a global cinematic spectacle. For Indian viewers, however, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt's reunion is likely to remain one of the film's biggest talking points as it arrives in cinemas on August 21.
