Salman Khan's Tubelight co-star Zhu Zhu has been conspicuous by her absence from the film's promotions.
Initially, the Chinese actress was set to fly down prior to the film's release, but even though Tubelight has hit the marquee, Zhu Zhu is missing. Tongues have been wagging about why she opted to stay away.
Those in the know say the Chinese folk are apprehensive about how director Kabir Khan has projected their country in the film, set during the 1962 Sino-Indian war.
Zhu Zhu was apparently told to keep her distance. There is also talk that Sallu felt he and brother Sohail, who also features in the film, would pull off the promotions.
We sure missed seeing Salman and Zhu Zhu together. It would have been fun to see him speak in Mandarin with her.
