Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta's untimely demise has sent waves of shock throughout the industry. As soon as his colleagues and friends from the industry learned about his death, they rushed to pay their last respects to the filmmaker. Many celebs were seen captured by paps as they arrived for his funeral held on Saturday evening. Amid this, a video claiming to be of the late filmmaker's daughter allegedly showing her middle finger to paps has been shared online.
The video shared by a paparazzi page, Buzzzooka Scrolls, shows a girl, whom the page claims to be the filmmaker's daughter, Dalai, seated in the passenger seat of a car. She seemingly lost her cool at the paparazzi covering the late filmmaker's funeral. She is seen laughing during the interaction as she flashed her middle finger at the paps stationed outside from the window.
She was seen hiding her face under a hoodie. The person driving the car also tried to stop her, but she continued to do so. Later, a person in the backseat is also seen trying to seemingly stop her from doing the action.
The video was uploaded with the caption, "Why Did Sanjay Gupta's Daughter Lose Her Cool With the Paps?"
Many viewers questioned her behaviour amid the demise of the director. While many questioned why she was laughing, others doubted if the girl in the video was indeed the filmmaker's daughter.
Nevertheless, the authenticity of the claims could not be verified if the girl seen in the video was the late filmmaker Sanjay Gupta's daughter since she had covered her face.
On October 21, the filmmaker had shared his last post on X, which included a picture of a massive Lego structure being assembled on his dining table by his daughter, Dalai Gupta. Expressing his pride and excitement, he wrote, "The biggest Lego I know being built on my dining table. CRAZY!!!"
Sanjay Gupta reportedly fell at his residence in Mumbai on Friday, October 30. He sustained a serious head injury, which led to his untimely and tragic death.
Mumbai Police, in its statement, said, "Hindi film producer Sanjay Gupta died after allegedly losing his balance and falling inside his bungalow in the Versova police station jurisdiction around midnight. He sustained a head injury and suffered heavy bleeding. His wife, two children and domestic help were also staying at the bungalow. However, all of them were asleep at the time, and the incident came to light only in the morning. The family has expressed no suspicion or lodged any complaint. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Versova police have initiated an inquiry into the accidental death to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident."
