Siddhant Chaturvedi
Siddhant Chaturvedi has weighed in on the ongoing debate around modern relationships, firmly stating that "Gen Z isn't confused in love, this isn't a generational issue, it's evolution." The actor shared how the dynamics of romance have drastically changed in the age of social media.
According to him, what many perceive as confusion is actually a shift in how love is expressed and understood today. "Today we live in the age of social media, and that has changed the way love works," he said, highlighting how emotions now unfold in real time, often through screens.
Reflecting on earlier times, Siddhant pointed out that confusion in love existed even before social media, just in a very different form. "In our time, confusion existed at a completely different level. There was no social media, so most of the time we simply didn't know what the other person was feeling. Years would pass, and we'd still be unaware of their emotions," he shared. He fondly recalled how "we would stand outside school, waiting just to catch a glimpse - hoping for that one look. Did they notice us or not? If they walked away, would they turn back and look? These tiny moments meant everything to us."
Interestingly, Siddhant's thoughts on modern romance come at a time when he is gearing up for his upcoming romantic film Do Deewane Seher Mein, where he stars opposite Mrunal Thakur. Speaking about today's dating culture, he added, "Now, even love is heavily influenced by social media. People deliberately put up stories with songs they know the other person likes, then wait to see if they've viewed it or liked it. Today, there are so many terms in modern dating, ghosting, breadcrumbing, and more, that half the time we don't even know what all of them mean." As audiences await the film, his perspective reinforces one idea - love hasn't become confusing; it has simply evolved.
Do Deewane Seher Mein is a love story that feels timeless yet new, and is also touted as one of the cutest and most heartfelt love stories of 2026, bringing back the kind of romance we haven't seen in cinemas for a long time. Mrunal and Siddhant play characters who are polar opposites and complete misfits, and are still figuring themselves out.
It is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal and Bharat Kumar Ranga in association with Ravi Udyawar Films.
The film arrives as a Valentine's offering for those who believe love is messy, confusing, and worth it. It's a film that doesn't tell you how to feel, but lets you discover it on your own. Do Deewane Sheher Mein is slated for a theatrical release on 20th February 2026.
