Fatherhood appears to have given Sidharth Malhotra a fresh perspective on life, priorities and even his approach to work. At the IAA Leadership Awards 2026, where the actor was honoured with the Brand Endorser of the Year award, Sidharth opened up about his daughter and described parenthood as the "most amazing experience" of his life.
Sidharth and Kiara Advani welcomed their daughter Saraayah in July last year. Speaking about how becoming a parent has changed him, the Shershaah actor said his little one, who recently turned a year old, has brought a new sense of meaning to his life.
"We have been fortunate enough to be the parents of a young baby girl, who just turned one year old last month. It's been the most amazing experience of my life, and so many learnings," Sidharth said.
The actor admitted that watching his daughter grow has added an entirely new dimension to his life. "It adds so much more content to your life; it adds so much more value to what you do in this world that we live in. It is very tough to describe," he said.
For Sidharth, parenthood is also about discovering his daughter's personality as she grows. "We are exploring each other every month, and I hope this wonderful relationship only flourishes, and I get to learn so much from my little daughter," he added.
He also spoke about the values he and Kiara hope to pass on to their daughter, saying parenthood has made him more optimistic and patient. He also turned cheerleader for wife Kiara Advani after watching the gripping trailer of Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.
Comparing parenting to nurturing a plant, Sidharth said, "I am trying to be a good gardener so she can flourish into a wonderful human being."
Meanwhile, the actor has plenty on his professional plate. He is gearing up for The Vvaan, co-starring Tamannaah Bhatia. The film, initially scheduled for August 28, has been pushed to September to avoid a box-office clash with Yash-starrer Toxic.
The Vvaan is now slated to release in theatres on September 25, 2026. For Sidharth, it looks like the coming months will bring a mix of professional milestones and an even bigger personal adventure, watching his daughter grow.
