Her first film is yet to see the light of day, but Sonakshi Sinha is already getting her share of attention.
Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha's little princess gets talking to CS about her debut opposite Salman Khan; a career move, which took some convincing from the superstar:
Luck by chance
Entering Bollywood was never on my agenda; it all started by chance. I have studied fashion designing and intended to step foot in the fashion world. But I guess you reach where you are destined to. Now that I am here, I am going to give it my best shot.
Mentor magic
Though I have never been in the limelight before, I have realised that I can handle it well. I enjoy being in front of the camera; I was completely at ease when I had to give my first shot. I think it was also because I knew Salman and the others already. On the sets, Salman and Abhinav Kashyap played my mentors throughout. I only had to work on my Hindi a little bit (smiles).
The real me
Many think that I may get typecast as the girl-next-door, but I don't think so. My debut character is very much like the real me, except for the saree of course. I am a silent, laid-back person and take every day as it comes. I seldom plan ahead. I love to lounge around with my friends for hours on end.
