Actor Tanushree Dutta is a voracious reader with history, culture and philosophy being her favourite subjects. CS spoke to her about her love for books:

I last read..... Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho. I have read all his books.

On my bookshelf.... There are quite a few books that I plan to read shortly. I have bought A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, American Star by Jackie Collins and Love in a Torn Land by Jean Sasson.

My favourite authors.... Dan Brown, Paulo Coelho, Khalid Hosseini and Jean Sasson. As a youngster, I loved Sidney Sheldon and Robin Cook.

Most romantic book.... It has to be Love Story by Erich Segal. As an adult, I haven't read many romantic books but I did read a fair share of Mills and Boons novels as a teenager. I wouldn't mind dating Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.

One role from literature I would love to play.... Princess Sultana from Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabiaby Jean Sasson. It's a great story with an exemplary character. The book offers a glimpse into the cultural milieu of the Middle East. And I think I will fit in with my looks.

On my wish list.... I have read a lot of western authors because I like to know about socio-cultural set-ups in foreign countries. Now, I want to read books of some contemporary Indian English writers.u00a0 The only contemporary Indian writer I have read is Chetan Bhagat, and I loved his books.
