He says, "When the organisers told me they wanted me to do a Michael Jackson act as the finale, it made me nervous. Performing in front of your friends and family is one thing and dancing in front of a huge crowd is quite another."
The actor took five days to rehearse the act and perfect his act. Harman owes his dancing skills to the deceased performer, "MJ is my tutor. I've learnt dancing from him."
Begins with blooperAlthough the act went on well, he admits honestly that it started with a blooper, "There was dew on the floor as the show was in an outdoor stadium. When I made my entry in a hydraulic cylinder and stepped out, my feet slipped on the stage! I was like, "help!" My act hadn't started and I was already falling.
The male dancers standing in the wings realised what was happening and started shouting to me not to perform aggressively but to temper my steps so I wouldn't slip. I gathered courage and slowed my tempo and finally managed to pull my act together."
The act was choreographed by Sanjay Shetty. Harman grooved to a mix of MJ's songs. Attired in MJ's trademark white shirt and black pants, the actor also wore a black band on his arm in support of the malnourished children of the world. "I agreed to be part of the event on a personal level. I am against physical violence of any kind especially against women. I get worked up when women are physically abused and I think WAVE is a very good cause."
