On October 18, three assailants opened fire at Tiger Shroff in Mumbai's Juhu area. While the actor escaped unharmed, his driver and a bystander sustained bullet injuries. So far, authorities have apprehended ten people in connection with the case across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. According to a report, Tiger issued a statement expressing disbelief to Mumbai Police's Crime Branch.
An NDTV report cited that the actor has said, "I am in deep shock. I do not wish to say anything right now. Who would want to carry out such a life-threatening attack on me, and why?" However, according to Hindustan Times, when asked, Tiger's spokesperson clearly denied the report and said, "This news is completely untrue. Tiger has not made any such statement. No such thing has happened."
Tiger Shroff's first pictures after the firing incident showed him wearing bandages on his arm and shoulder, leaving fans concerned. His team later shared a video showing burn marks on his skin, seemingly explaining the bandages. The official Team Tiger Shroff page shared a video to clarify the marks on his body. After the firing incident, Tiger's team also issued a statement, warning against the spread of misinformation and AI videos.
A portion of their statement read, "We would like to categorically clarify that Tiger Shroff has made no statements, released no videos, and authorised no communication regarding the recent incident or any related developments."
They further shared, "It has come to our attention that several social media pages and digital platforms are circulating fabricated stories, AI-generated videos and scripted narratives, falsely attributed to Tiger. These are completely false, unauthorised and intended to mislead the public." The team threatened legal consequences for those continuing to circulate misinformation.
According to a PTI report, police arrested a 22-year-old man in Indore on Saturday in connection with the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. Mumbai police also recovered two firearms from Surat that were allegedly used in the attack targeting the actor's car, officials said.
Within hours of the firing incident, three suspects were apprehended in Kota and brought to Mumbai. Gangster Anil Pandit, who is reportedly a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post.
