I've always enjoyed doing calligraphy and make time for it whenever I can. I used to be a pro at it in my college days, so much so that my friends would ask me to write letters to their girlfriends in my fancy handwriting. In fact when my batchmates were getting ragged by the seniors, I was always spared because I was good at calligraphy. They knew that they would need my services in the future, though they made it a point never to introduce me to their girlfriends. I owned all the possible pens with different types of nibs and knew as many as 40 fonts.



It is unfortunate that everything is so hi-tech these days that SMSes and emails have replaced letters. But I still write letters to my dad and sister and make use of my calligraphy skills while doing that.

I had planned to design my own name plate for my old house but that eventually didn't happen. Now that I'm in my new apartment, I think that I will devote a section of my wall to calligraphy.
