Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, is all set to hit the screens this week. Ahead of its release, the film has already generated tremendous curiosity, thanks to the trailer, the posters, the casting and also because the film is a part of the YRF Spy Universe. Ahead of its July 3 release, the makers have reportedly laid out a plan with the show details for the exhibitors.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has requested the show-sharing arrangements from exhibitors.
As per the mail sent by YRF to exhibitors, all shows of Alpha must start from 9:30 AM onwards and not before that. This means that the film will not have early morning shows. Additionally, the theatres have been asked to start selling tickets from Wednesday, July 1. The mail also mentions that the ticket rates should be the same as the weekend ticket prices of last week's release, Welcome To The Jungle.
Coming to the show-sharing plan, YRF has said that they want a minimum of 4 shows in 2-screen cinemas and a minimum of 6 shows in 3-screen theatres. Similarly, in 4-screen multiplexes, YRF has asked for a minimum of 8 shows. While in 10+ screens, there should be a minimum of 10 shows.
On the other hand, for single-screen cinemas, the show-sharing will reportedly be decided by the YRF Distribution Office on a case-by-case basis.
Alpha is the 4th standalone film in the YRF Spy Universe and seventh overall, after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War 2. The film shows Alia Bhatt as the first female spy of the spyverse, alongside Sharvari.
Meanwhile, Alpha was recently passed with a U/A 16+ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on Monday, June 29. The runtime of the film, as mentioned on the certificate, is 2 hours, 20 minutes and 48 seconds. The film has passed certification after the CBFC suggested certain modifications like changes in stabbing visuals, foul language and more.
Produced under the YRF banner and directed by Shiv Rawail, the film is set to hit the screens on July 3.
