Cleanliness is next to godliness. While we have heard it in school, Esha Gupta and Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray took it upon themselves to implement it on the ground. The duo took part in a cleanliness drive, and with the help of 500 volunteers including environmentalist Afroz Shah, managed to clean up 9 tons of garbage along the coastline in Bandra. Later, Esha Gupta shared pictures and videos from the clean-up drive on her social media account. She captioned it as, "Happy to say, today we kickstarted the #walkformangroves cleanup drive along Bandra coastline with Aaditya Thackeray. Just today itself we all along with our 500 volunteers cleaned 9 tons of garbage. Special thanks to BMC for doing the most they can, let's save our planet".

She further added, "Not proud of what I saw, this how all the mangroves seem all around our city. BMC does the best they can, but few people cleaning are against the odds of so many of us polluting the oceans. This is a small step towards a better tomorrow".

Aaditya Thackeray also thanked the actress for her contribution. Penning a thankful note on Instagram, he wrote, "Thank you, Esha Gupta, for voicing this very important message... we all need to do our bit for our planet!" Speaking about the event, he said, "It's amazing to see so many people come out to clean but it's scary to see what we've done to the planet. It's time we clean our act. Now is the time! [sic]"

This isn't the first time Esha has voiced her concerns about our environment. She has been quite vocal about issues related to the environment on her social media platforms thereby creating awareness among her followers. She has also passionately been part of campaigns related to tree plantations and promoting plastic ban. In fact, Esha ensures that her family and friends also avoid using plastic commodities.

Infact Esha came up with a unique idea to promote her last movie One Day: Justice Delivered. She suggested the producers to indulge in an activity of planting 100 saplings in the three cities including Mumbai, Delhi, and Indore that they will be visiting for movie promotions along with the cast and crew. The makers liked the idea and appreciated Esha's noble gesture.

In One Day: Justice Delivered, Esha is seen portraying the role of a tough police officer in the movie. Directed by Ashok Nanda, One Day: Justice Delivered also features a stellar cast of Zarina Wahab, Kumud Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Rajesh Sharma, and Deepshikha and Murali Sharma. The movie released worldwide on July 5, 2019.
