Akshay Kumar faced flak from a section of netizens after he posted a photo that shows him wearing a red bindi on the forehead. The actor had used a filter on social media to render the effect.

Laxmii is set to premiere on Nov 9, 2020, on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. The film is produced by Cape of Good Films, Tusshar Entertainment House and Shabinaa Entertainment.

The trailer of Laxmii managed to impress the audience with its horror-comedy. Akshay Kumar's transgender character has also created quite a buzz. The movie ruled the headlines for many reasons.

Earlier called Laxmii Bomb, the CBFC board changed the title to Laxmii, to avoid any further controversies. Taking into consideration the sentiments of the audience, the title change was accepted by all.

For the promotional event, Kiara Advani was seen wearing a polka dot saree, paired with an embroidered blouse.

Tusshar Kapoor, who is the producer of the film, showed off his dapper side in blue suit.
