Durgamati is a remake of Telugu hit, Bhaagamathie, which starred Anushka Shetty. The film revolves around the story of an innocent Government officer who is made the victim of a major conspiracy involving powerful forces. Durgamati stars Bhumi Pednekar, Jisshu Sengupta, Mahi Gill and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles.
