Star Kids who built their own empire

Aryan Khan, the son of Shah Rukh Khan, has chosen to work behind the camera, focusing on film production and creative direction. With all the buzz that his debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood has garnered, netizens believe he is well on his way to amassing his own stardom and fandom soon. 

Daughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda grew up in the heart of Bollywood but chose not to step into films. She is a columnist and has penned a bestselling novel Paradise Towers and writes regular columns on lifestyle and culture. Along with designer Monisha Jaising, Shweta launched her fashion label MxS.

Saba Ali Khan is Sharmila Tagore and late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi's daughter and Saif Ali Khan's sister keeps a low profile. She is a jewellery designer and serves as a custodian in a royal charitable trust established by the former princely state of Bhopal.

Daughter of Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, Ira Khan has never been interested in following her father’s footsteps into acting. She is a strong advocate for mental health awareness and often uses her platform to speak about her personal journey with depression, aiming to break the stigma around it. She has also launched Agatsu Foundation, focusing on mental well-being and emotional support.

Krishna Shroff has successfully established herself as a fitness icon and entrepreneur and social media influencer, completely independent of her father Jackie Shroff's Bollywood legacy. Not only does she own and operate the MMA Matrix, a chain of gyms, specialising in mixed martial arts and fitness training PAN-India, she’s also the only woman in the world to own an MMA promotion. Her recent participation in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Chhoriyan Chali Gaon, has further expanded her reach.

Born to the legendary lyricist Gulzar and veteran actress Rakhee, Meghna Gulzar chose not to step into acting. Instead, she followed her father’s footsteps behind the camera and carved her own identity as a filmmaker who made films like Raazi, Chhapaak, Sam Bahadur and upcoming Daayra. 

Daughter of Sanjay Dutt and his late first wife Richa Sharma, Trishala Dutt grew up in the United States and chose a career in psychotherapy. She works to help people with their mental and emotional health. Trishala runs her own counselling business in New York. 

Nysa Devgan is undoubtedly paparazzi favourite personality, but Kajol and Ajay Devgn have also confirmed she has no plans of pursuing acting. Instead, she has focused on academics and completed her higher education in Singapore before moving to Glion Institute in Switzerland. The 22-year-old received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Hospitality, with a specialisation in Luxury Brand Strategy.

Granddaughter of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda has been clear that acting is not her agenda. Instead, she co-founded Aara Health, a healthcare platform focusing on women’s well-being, and runs Project Naveli, an initiative aimed at promoting gender equality in India. In addition, Navya hosts the popular podcast What the Hell Navya, where she engages in candid conversations with her mother Shweta Bachchan and grandmother Jaya Bachchan.

While Ananya Panday is one of the most popular Bollywood actresses, her younger sister Rysa has stayed away from the limelight. She is reportedly pursuing a course in filmmaking at the NYU Tisch School of Arts in the US.

Unlike her siblings Sonam Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Rhea choose to pursue her passion of creativity and carved a niche for herself in fashion designing. Alongside Sonam, she co-founded the fashion label Rheson and has styled several Bollywood celebrities. She is also a producer and has backed films like Aisha, Khoobsurat, and Veere Di Wedding among others. 

Aaliyah Kashyap is filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and Aarti Bajaj’s daughter. Though she has stayed away from screen, she is a YouTuber, content creator, and social media influencer. She started her YouTube channel in 2012, where she shares lifestyle vlogs, fashion tips, and beauty tutorials.

Anshula Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor, has made her mark as a social media personality, entrepreneur and is also a huge body positivity and mental health advocate through her platform Fankind, which connects celebrities with fans for charitable causes. Anshula's work demonstrates how star kids can use their understanding to create meaningful platforms that benefit both celebrities and society at large.

Shaheen Bhatt, daughter of Mahesh Bhatt, has become a prominent voice in mental health advocacy and literature, using her personal experiences to help others. She authored the book I've Never Been (Un)Happier, which candidly discusses her battle with depression.
