While Bollywood and South cinema crossovers have continued to impress audiences, there have been several actors from the South cinema who have made thier Bollywood appearances. Similarly, there are several mainstream Bollywood actors who have, over the years, appeared in meaty and pivotal roles in South Indian films. Ahead of Boman Irani and Divyendu's appearances in Peddi, here's looking at mainstream Bollywood stars who forayed into South Indian cinema.

Boman Irani has appeared in South Indian films ahead of Peddi, namely Atharintiki Daredi (2013), Bengal Tiger (2015), Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India (2018) and Kaappaan (2019) and The Raja Saab (2026.)
Bobby Deol made his South debut in 2024 with Kanguva, followed by Daaku Maharaaj (2025) and Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 (2025).
Anurag Kashyap's outings in South Indian cinema include Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018), Maharaja, Rifle Club (2024) and Dacoit (2026).
Sanjay Dutt has been seen in several films in South Indian cinema over the past few years incluing K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022), Leo (2023), Double iSmart (2025), The Raja Saab (2026) and KD: The Devil (2026).
After starring with Jr NTR in Devara: Part 1 (2024), Janhvi Kapoor is set to pair with Ram Charan in Peddi.
Raveena Tandon has done several South indian films, including Bangaru Bullodu (1993), Upendra (1999), Akasa Veedhilo (2001), Abhay (2001), Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda (2014), and K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022).
Bollywood diva Kiara Advani has appeared in three South Indian films, namely, Bharat Ane Nenu (2018), Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019), and Game Changer (2025).
Alia Bhatt made headlines by starring in SS Rajamouli's RRR (2022).
Vivek Oberoi has also appeared in several South Indian movies including Vivegam (2017), Lucifer (2019), Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019), Rustum (2019) and Kaduva (2022).
Saif Ali Khan forayed into South cinema with Devara: Part 1 (2024).
Mrunal Takur appeared in Sita Ramam (2022), Hi Nanna (2023), The Family Star (2024) and Dacoit (2026).
Aishwarya Rai has had many outings in South cinema, including Iruvar (1997), Jeans (1998), Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000), Raavanan (2010), Enthiran (2010), Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022), and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023).
