Anurag Singh's directorial Border 2 is just a week away from release. The makers released the power-charged trailer on Thursday marking Army day. The film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in the lead with many other actors lending support to the narrative. Take a look at who plays what in the film

Sunny Deol is the ony actor whoe returns for the sequel from the 1997 Border film. He will be seen playing the role of as India Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler — Indian Army officer from 6 Sikh
Varun Dhawan will play an army officer in the fim. He will be playing Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, PVC — Indian Army officer from 3 Grenadiers
Ahan Shetty marks his return to the film industry after four years. He made his acting debut in 2021 with Tadap. In Border 2, he will be seen playing the role of Lt Cdr M. S. Rawat — Indian Navy officer from INS Khukri. Interestingly, Shetty's father Suniel was part of the 1997 film Border. However, his character does not survive in the film
Diljit Dosanjh plays an Air Force officer in the film. He will be playing Fg Offr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC — Indian Air Force officer from No. 18 Squadron
Mona Singh will be seen playing the support system of Deol's character. She has been paired opposite the actor as Fateh's wife
Anya Singh will be seen playing the calm and composed wife of Naval officer Rawat played by Ahan
Sonam Bajwa will be seen playing Manjit Sekhon, wife of Officer Nirmal. They are shown to be newly weds in the film when Dosanjh's character heads for war
Medha Rana plays the role of Dhano Devi Dahiya, Hoshiar's wife
The film will see Anurag Arora as Sub. Ram Singh — Indian Army JCO from 6 Sikh while Paramvir Cheema will essay the role of Sub. Nishan Singh — Indian Army JCO from 3 Grenadiers
There will be some interesting cameos in the film as well. Suniel Shetty will be seen as AC Bhairon Singh Rathore, SM — BSF officer attached to the Unit that fought the Battle of Longewala
Akshaye Khanna will make cameo as 2nd Lt Dharamvir Singh Bhakhri — 2i/c in the Unit that fought the Battle of Longewala
