Over the years, several blockbuster hits have crossed this milestone, redefining Indian box office benchmarks.

Indian movies in Rs 1000 crore club

Aamir Khan's sports-drama is the first Indian film to gross Rs 1000 crore worldwide. The movie still holds the record of the highest-grossing Indian film, earning 2059.04 crore.

The Allu Arjun starrer crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide in just 7 days, making it the fastest Indian films to do so.

Directed by Sukumar, the film went on to collect a massive Rs 1742.1 crore globally. It earned over Rs 750 crore in Hindi language.
 

Released in December 2025, Dhurandhar emerged as a massive box office success, earning Rs 1354.84 crore worldwide.

The Ranveer Singh's film earned 1000 crore milestone in just 21 days, cementing its blockbuster status. Its strong theatrical run reflected both critical acclaim and audience appreciation.

Talking about the sequel which released on March 19, in just 7 days, giving a tough competition to Pushpa 2, the film earned Rs 1029.49.

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion crossed Rs 1000 crore globally in 10 days. The film finished its run with a worldwide collection of Rs 1788.06 crore.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan also reached the Rs 1000 crore milestone in 18 days and went on to collect Rs 1160 crore globally. 

SRK made a smashing comeback in 2023, after a hiatus of four years with Pathaan. The film crossed Rs 1000 crore globally in 27 days and ended its run at Rs 1055 crore. 

Ram Charan and Jr NTR's actioner, RRR, reached the Rs 1000 crore mark in 16 days and ended its theatrical run at Rs 1275.75 crore worldwide. Its action sequences and strong performances wooed audience.

Yash KGF 2 crossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide in 18 days and wrapped up with a global total of Rs 1230 crore. The action drama was a breakthrough moment for Kannada cinema.

Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD took 25 days to reach the Rs 1000 crore mark and finished with a worldwide collection of Rs 1054.67 crore. The star-studded project featured Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in key roles.
