Vartika Singh, born on 27th August 1993, originally hails from Lucknow and has reportedly completed her education in Canossa Convent School.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from Isabella Thoburn College. She also holds a master's degree in Public health from the University of Lucknow.

On 26 September 2019, Vartika Singh was crowned Miss Universe India 2019, as the Miss Diva pageant was not held that year.

She later represented India at the Miss Universe 2019 competition in Atlanta, Georgia, on 8 December 2019, finishing in the Top 20 and ending India’s consecutive unplacement streak at the international event.

Earlier, she won the Femina Miss India Grand International title in 2015. In 2017, she participated in the Kingfisher Model Hunt contest and appeared in the Kingfisher bikini calendar for the months of March and October.

After a remarkable stint in modelling career, Vartika has appeared in music videos, including Kishmish (2019) by Ash King and Qaran, and Saware (2017) by Anupam Raag and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Apart from being an actor and model, Singh has been actively involved in social causes. In 2018, she founded the non-profit organisation Pure Humans to raise awareness about public health issues across India.

She has also collaborated with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to educate communities about tuberculosis and has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for Smile Train India, supporting children born with cleft lip and cleft palate.

She recently made her debut with Haq. The film is based on the 1985 Supreme Court judgement in Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs Shah Bano Begum, a landmark case concerning women's rights and maintenance laws in India.

Reacting to the overwhelming response for her performance, she remarks in an interview, "When I see all the positive reactions, it still feels a little unreal. It encourages me, and I'm taking it as motivation to work harder and perform even better in my next film."

When asked whose work inspires her the most, Vartika named a few of her favourite actors. "I really love Nawazuddin Siddiqui sir's work and Manoj Bajpayee ji's performances. They act in such a realistic way. And if we talk about a larger-than-life personality, then it has to be Shah Rukh sir."

She also shared her wish list of co-stars she would love to work with in the future. "I really hope to get a chance to work with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal."
