Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are one of the adorable couples of tinsel town. Their love story is as dreamy as their romantic glimpses.
Rakul recently recalled that their first meeting took place during the COVID-19 lockdown, under highly unusual circumstances.
She said, "It was her brother’s birthday, and the siblings were on the lookout for a vodka bottle. This led them to Jackky’s house in full PPE kits."
Rakul went on to say that what truly brought them close was their shared approach to health, fitness, and lifestyle.
The couple officially confirmed their relationship on actresses 31st birthday on October 10, 2021.
In one of the podcasts, Rakul recalled how she insisted Jackky to propose her, and Bhumi planned the whole thing.
She remembered going for the breakfast early morning when he popped up the question. She reveals, "There was a whole decoration with ‘Marry Me’ written on it. He had also written a song to propose.”
Despite making their relationship Insta-official, Rakul and Jackky have managed to keep their affair low key.
After being together for around 3 years, the couple decided to take the plunge and exchanged wedding vows in Goa on 21st February, 2024.
Their wedding was a 3-days soiree with close friends and family members in attendance. The couple looked like a match made in heaven in every pic.
To wish the actress, Jackky took to Instagram, where he shared a video featuring special moments from their wedding, holidays, and time they spent together. “I love you more than words could ever hope to express. I may never truly be able to explain what you mean to me, but today I just want to thank you for being in my life, for being my constant, for being mine.”
He shared that the last two years spent together felt like “two fleeting seconds” because every moment by her side makes time stand still. Calling Rakul his backbone and the light that brightens even his darkest skies, Jackky added: “You are my strength when I feel weak, My backbone when I need to stand tall, And the star that softly lights up even my darkest skies.”
