Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s portrayal of Jodhaa in Jodhaa Akbar remains one of the most graceful depictions of a Rajput queen in Bollywood, where she balanced love, strength, and diplomacy with ease.

Years later, she returned to the epic genre as Nandini in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, bringing depth and intrigue to a layered royal character  showing how she can command the screen across eras and kingdoms.

Anushka Shetty’s Devasena in Baahubali was the perfect combination of beauty and strength. From her archery skills to her defiant stand against injustice, she exuded the essence of a warrior queen who never surrendered. 

Rukmini Vasanth impressed audiences with a powerful performance in Kantara: Chapter 1. Her character adds emotional depth to the story. Rukmini brings intensity and conviction to the role, playing a key part in elevating the film’s dramatic final moments.

In Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone portrayed Rani Padmavati with grace and strength. Her character stood for dignity and courage, reflecting the unwavering resolve of a queen who chooses honor even in the toughest circumstances.

Hema Malini starred as the titular lead in the 1983 historical drama Razia Sultan, directed by Kamal Amrohi. She played Razia Bano, the first woman to rule the Delhi Sultanate (1236–1240), acting opposite Dharmendra (as Jamal-ud-Din Yakut) and Parveen Babi.
