Los Angeles: Actress Angelina Jolie reportedly wanted to gift husband Brad Pitt the last typewriter author Ernest Hemingway used before killing himself.

Though Jolie, 39, was quite keen to buy Hemingway's 1926 Underwood, worth $250,000, the deal was called off for some unknown reason, reported a leading website.
Jolie's agent got in touch with LA Police Commission President Steve Soboroff, who has typewriter collection, including Hemingway's 1926 Underwood, a source said.
This summer the agent sent a deposit check from Jolie's production company, Chivan Productions, for $11,000, but at some point she had a change of heart and cancelled the deal, the source said.
