Los Angeles: Singer Justin Timberlake has advised today's generation to respect and value their parents in his Teen Choice Awards speech.

The 35-year-old star won the first-ever decade award for his "FutureSex/LoveSounds" album at the event.
The "Can't Stop the Feeling" hitmaker said his parents taught him to respect himself and all the people on the basis of their character, reported People magazine.
"I'm here to tell you that you and your choices matter. Don't waste your 20s... Be nice to your parents I hope my son watches this one day. Go out, do the impossible and go on and become the greatest generation yet," he said.
Timberlake even remembered Muhammad Ali during his speech and said people like the legendary boxer always helped him in growing as a person.
