Director Richard Linklater, 57, has finally opened about the topic of harassment. The filmmaker has called for "house cleaning" in Hollywood, which has been seeing a multiple sexual misconduct scandals.

Talking about the matter, Linklater said, "Clearly, the industry is having a house cleaning of some kind. Obviously, it's way overdue. And it's unfortunate, the young people need to be encouraged and supported, not preyed upon at the workplace." The Oscar nominated actor also backed the industry-wide call for making the business safe for everyone, especially women.
"The methodology to make sure it doesn't happen again needs to fall into place and everyone needs to come aboard. But I think that's going to happen. So that's the upside," noted Linklater.
