Presley Gerber, the model and only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27. Presley died on September 20 at a rehabilitation facility, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records. As reported by TMZ, his family has confirmed his death and requested privacy during what they described as an extremely difficult time. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Who is Presley Gerber?

Presley was born on July 2, 1999, in Beverly Hills, California. Following in his mother's footsteps, he entered the modelling industry as a teenager after signing with IMG Models at 15. By the age of 17, he had already established a presence on the fashion circuit, walking the runway for brands including Moschino and Dolce and Gabbana. He also featured in campaigns for labels such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.

His younger sister, model and actor Kaia Gerber, also pursued a career in fashion. The siblings worked together on several occasions, with Presley previously saying that having Kaia around made modelling feel "a lot less lonely". Their shared connection to the fashion world gave the siblings a professional bond, even as both carved out individual careers.

However, Presley's life in the public eye was also marked by personal struggles. He had been candid about his experiences with mental health issues, depression and addiction. In recent years, he used social media and podcast appearances to speak about his recovery and encourage others struggling with similar issues to seek support.

Presley had also spoken about the importance of reconnecting with physical activity. In one of his social media videos, he recalled growing up as an active child who played sports, surfed and swam. He said that as his career progressed, those activities took a back seat, affecting his quality of life. He later began incorporating exercise and healthier habits into his recovery journey.

In December 2025, Presley shared a candid video discussing his mental health, medication and panic attacks. He said he had experienced significant loss and hoped that speaking openly about his struggles would help others feel less alone. His previous comments also highlighted his desire to create awareness around mental health without judgement.

His sister Kaia recently opened up about Presley's long-standing struggles with addiction in an interview with Vogue. She described how his openness had affected the family and said that watching him speak publicly about his experiences had helped challenge the family's traditionally private approach to personal difficulties.

Presley is survived by his parents, Cindy and Rande, and sister Kaia. The family has asked for privacy following his death.
