I feel excited to be the first Bollywood composer with five songs to have gone international, says Bappi Lahiri

Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba
Disney India acquired the rights of Bappi Lahiri's 1984 song, Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba (Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki), to rehash it for the desi trailer of 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2'.

Kaliyon Ka Chaman
In 2002, an American band, Truth Hurts, used a riff from Lahiri's song Kaliyon Ka Chaman (Jyoti, 1981), sung by Lata Mageshkar. The number became a sweeping hit in the US. Lahiri sued the band for royalty.

Come Closer
Come Closer from Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki made it to the soundtrack of Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel-starrer, Lion.

Shona
Lahiri composed and sang Shona for Disney's animation film, Moana. He also voiced the dialogues for a character, Tamatoa.

Jimmy Jimmy
Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008), had the rearranged version of Bappi's Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy from Mithun Chakraborty's Disco Dancer (1982). The music was rearranged by Julius Dobos.
