Aussie actor Hugh Jackman has turned down an offer to host the 83rd Academy Awards - to be held on February 27, 2011.
Jackman wouldn't be able to host the event owing to a busy shooting schedule of X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 is expected to begin in late February or March, Deadline said.
According to the Daily Telegraph, he was asked to be the host due to popular demand.
42-year-old Jackman has already showcased his versatility on the stage of the award's show with a song and dance number that parodied a number of movies that were nominated for the Best Picture award.
