Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has officially made her Instagram debut. She has joined Instagram with a fun introduction. After avoiding the social media app for years, the Oscar-winning actress joined the platform on September 9 as @jlaw.
While making her Instagram debut, Jennifer revealed that the username 'Jennifer Lawrence' was already taken, playfully addressing it in her bio by writing "jenniferlawrence was taken."
In a span of a few hours after joining Instagram, Jennifer gained over 577k followers, and it's still not stopping. The actress followed several celebrities, including Josh Hutcherson, Martin Scorsese, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Dakota Johnson, Suki Waterhouse, Andy Cohen, Matt Rogers, Daniel Kaluuya, Bowen Yang, Keke Palmer, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Amy Schumer, Grace Gummer, Amy Poehler, Alex Consani, Ziwe, Ms Rachel, and Cleo Wade are among the people on her following list.
Lawrence's team verified that the account is real and has been verified.
While Lawrence's Instagram debut is still exciting for fans, she will reportedly be using the platform only to promote her work, including her films, event appearances, and brand collaborations. It is unlikely that she will utilise it to share much about her personal life.
Previously, in an interview, Jennifer talked about using social media and revealed that she will never join Twitter (now X). In a conversation with BBC Radio 1, the actress said, "I will never get Twitter. I'm not very good with the phone or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me."
Talking about her professional life, Lawrence has an intriguing lineup of films ahead, including an appearance in the upcoming Hunger Games prequel and What Happens At Night next year. On the personal front, the 36-year-old actor is married to Cooke Maroney and reportedly a mommy of two children. Details about her babies are not out yet.
